In our first introductory course you will learn the fundamentals of databases such as types of database, primary and foreign keys, table relationships (one to one, one to many, many to many) and types of joins (inner join, left join). You will also learn the anatomy of an SQL statement (SELECT a.fieldname FROM tablename a WHERE x GROUP BY x HAVING count(a.x)>1 ORDER BY x). You will also learn to build several examples of SQL from the simple to the more complex. Once you have mastered the basics, you will gain confidence and add more complex functions, sub-queries in a course to be offered later or you can try on your own.
Just as important, the instructor will use the many years of experience in the data and analytics domain to apply the newly-learned techniques to solve some real business problems.
