In this course you will learn the basics of one of the hottest programing languages today - Python. In this interactive course you will learn from an expert who has used Python to solve real business problems. Python is a very powerful tool, but you must consider how the tool can be used to solve business problems and the limitations of implementing in a small or large organization before it's actually considered a useful language to learn. 

Topics covered:

1- Basic Python - what it is, what it does well and its limitations
2- Data - different data types: interger, float, date, strings

3- How to connect to different data sources and then transform, clean and use your data 

4- Different types of functions, conditions and libraries 

5- How to write your first program

Course Setup

1. The first class of the course will consist of setting up your own sandbox environment or workbench on your machine and making sure you have a compatible system. A complete set of instructions will be emailed to you in advance and support will be provided if you have questions before and during the course. The course is designed to work on Mac or Windows, and will work on most machines that are 1-3 years old.
